About the app

StepBurn combines step tracking and a food log without asking you to create an account. It reads steps, cadence and active calories from Health Connect and uses cadence to tell a slow walk from a brisk walk or a run, which makes the calorie estimate more accurate.

Meals can be logged by hand, through food search or with the camera: an AI scanner based on Gemini identifies one or several dishes and pre-fills calories, protein, carbs and fat for you to review. From a weight goal the app calculates a daily calorie target, and water intake is tracked glass by glass. The daily step baseline stays correct after a reboot and avoids double counting.
